Parents Association
Since its’ inception six years ago, the Parents Association has worked to build community and foster communication through meetings, programs and the outreach of our class representatives. We enhance student life through sponsorship of activities such as the ice cream social and Bring a Boarder Home for Dinner events. Our fundraising events, which benefit the Academy Fund and other targeted school projects, offer parents meaningful (and fun!) opportunities to work together in support of LFA. The Caxy Life Auction is a student-oriented silent auction which takes place on Parents Weekend. The Holiday Boutique occurs the week before Thanksgiving break. For three days, plus a unique Wednesday evening preview, Reid Hall becomes a shopper’s delight, with up to forty vendors offering something for everyone. The Spring Gala brings trustees, parents, and alumni together for an evening of socializing and fundraising.
The Parents Association succeeds through the talents and efforts of the LFA parent community. We encourage you to get involved by attending meetings, volunteering at events, working on a committee, or taking on a class representative or leadership role. There are volunteer opportunities to meet every schedule and interest level, and we look forward to your involvement!

Parents Association Mission Statement
The purpose of the Association is to promote the welfare of our children at the Academy; to unite our efforts with the entire Academy family to secure for our children the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education; to facilitate and enhance communication within the parent community and between parents and the faculty, administration, and trustees of the Academy; and to facilitate parent involvement in social, educational and fundraising activities.
